Is that all you GOT? It may not be proper english but come on McCain is it necessary to stoop to such lows as backbiting, mudslinging and name calling in your bid to win the highest political office in the country you claim that you love so much. Is that the character of a decorated ‘War Hero’ or is your true maverick evil twin brother rearing his ugly head and screaming for all to hear,” I am not going to let a half breed colored man born out of wedlock beat me” attitude showing your true colors! The truth always win out or did you not know that?

WE will not be deterred we will not turn around the time is now and we are committed to the cause as a people united. There are those (REPUBLICANS) that are circulating the myth and the scare tactics of not wearing OUR OBAMA GEAR on NOVEMBER 4th the day that Senator Barack Obama becomes President Barack Obama. They may attempt to sideline us as avid supporters and believers but the time for fear has come and gone.
BUT WE WILL WEAR OUR OBAMA GEAR,
OUR HATS, OUR BUTTONS, OUR T-SHIRTS AND WE WILL DISPLAY OUR BUMPER STICKERS AND OUR AMERICAN FLAGS
FRIDAY OCTOBER 31, 2008
We are as Wanda Sykes has been quoted as saying, “WE ARE SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED?” In short we are not going to take any more of walking blindly behind Republicans and hoping that they will do the right thing. Instead of waiting for the elephant to sit down and squash, my goals and aspirations by keeping me in the dark, taking away my ability to make a decent living and when I do succeed taxing me beyond belief while corporations enjoy tax relief oh no not me not anymore. I will not site idlly by and watch whatever dreams my three nephews and one niece have of going to college be washed away much like the wards surrounding New Orleans did as the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain swept through the streets during Hurricane Katrina in August of 2005. The levees failed and so did President Bush and his Republican colleagues as they sat with their thumbs up their bums because it was not their people crying in the day and night for help and safety. Why should they care about the poor, the elderly both black and white as they are not their core voters. But those same individuals that were left to die on the rooftops and in the New Orleans Superdome those that survived are casting their votes in the upcoming Presidential Election, November 4, 2008.

The issues we know but what are you going to do, please give me specifics …I also wanted to hear a point by point declarative statement…give me a PowerPoint Presentation if you have to. The questions were vague and the answer gave new meaning to the word vague. McCain attacked Obama and his support for Freddie and Fannies but never gave specifics to Obama involvement with the current financial debacle.
Obama did not attack McCain and Obama was smooth and poised and he was well rehearsed. Will he be able to be that calm with Putin sitting across from him taunting and threatening to invade countries at the drop of a hat, what will OBama do without a script?

Are do you? Feed up with empty promises and no performance. When was the last time you felt a politician no matter the race, gender, age or political affiliation made a campaign promise and kept his or words? Do you feel as if a politician should have there feet put to the fire for broken promises or is it a reality we have just come to expect and live with much like our favorite housecoat and ripped and torn favorite pair of jeans.
How is it that we elect individuals that are supposed to have our best interest in mind yet once they are elected and sworn into office the chant becomes, “what supporters, who are the voters, or constituents is that a person, place or noun.
Why do you care about Politics and what do you expect from your local and national Politicians?

If the men and women elected to govern our country can not work together to put a halt to the bleeding wound occurring to the country and the lack of fiscal control where should we turn.
To ourselves do we need to be told not to continue to buy on credit, to spend more than we make, to teach our children that another electronic game made in China for $1.79 and sold to us for $39.95 is not a necessity.
Now will someone tell our elected officials that now that the proverbial S_ _ t has hit the fan is not time to pretend as if they did not know that it would fly back in their face.
Dodd Says Lawmakers Agree on `Principles’ of Deal (Update2)
By James Rowley
Sept. 25 (Bloomberg) — Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd said Republicans and Democrats have agreed on a “set of principles” for a financial-rescue package.
“We believe that we’re prepared to act expeditiously on a package” that will “send a message to the markets,” Dodd told reporters on Capitol Hill.
Republican Senator Robert Bennett of Utah said lawmakers would have legislative language by the end of the day and that the plan would pass.
“I now expect we will indeed have a plan that can pass the House, pass the Senate, be signed by the president and bring a sense of certainty to this crisis that is still roiling in the markets,” Bennett said. “That is our primary responsibility and I think we are now prepared to meet it.”
Dodd said that lawmakers from the Senate Banking Committee and House Financial Services Committee agreed to the plan to buy troubled assets in order to calm financial markets.
The agreement reached by lawmakers today includes provisions on oversight of the Treasury-run program, executive pay and a section on homeownership preservation, Dodd said.
“We’re very confident that we can act expeditiously,” he said.
President George W. Bush warned in a nationwide address last night that “without immediate action by Congress, America could slip into a financial panic, and a distressing scenario would unfold.”
Bush will meet this afternoon with congressional leaders as well as Republican presidential candidate John McCain and his Democratic rival Barack Obama on the rescue plan.

Should the debate between McCain and Obama be postponed as McCain as requested or is he running scared. It amazes me that this financial crisis has been affecting most of the people that I know and love for quite some time. Yet in Bush’s speech last night it appeared that it snuck on him and his administration like a Black Bear in the woods.
Okay can someone please tell me what country and where does George W. hang his cowboy hat? I can recall earlier this year when asked about the financial crisis and if we were in recession and George W. Bush looked at the reporter and said what recession.
Perhaps he should read the highlights of the US Census Bureau statistics..listed below.. but of course he does not know anyone personally that falls into this category…do you?
Poverty: 2007 Highlights
The data presented here are from the Current Population Survey (CPS), 2008 Annual Social and Economic Supplement (ASEC), the source of official poverty estimates. The CPS ASEC is a sample survey of approximately 100,000 household nationwide. These data reflect conditions in calendar year 2007.
Highlights
The official poverty rate in 2007 was 12.5 percent, not statistically different from 2006.
In 2007, 37.3 million people were in poverty, up from 36.5 million in 2006.
Poverty rates in 2007 were statistically unchanged for non-Hispanic Whites (8.2 percent), Blacks (24.5 percent), and Asians (10.2 percent) from 2006. The poverty rate increased for Hispanics (21.5 percent in 2007, up from 20.6 percent in 2006).
The poverty rate in 2007 was lower than in 1959, the first year for which poverty estimates are available, while statistically higher than the most recent trough in 2000 (11.3 percent).
The poverty rate increased for children under 18 years old (18.0 percent in 2007, up from 17.4 percent in 2006), while it remained statistically unchanged for people 18 to 64 years old (10.9 percent) and people 65 and over (9.7 percent).

Why did they loan money to individuals who could not afford to pay attention not to mention a home for 200k 400k. I spoke last week with a officer in the sheriff department of Palm Beach County that has a stay at home wife who is a mother to their 5 kids and he is losing his home. He stated to me they knew (meaning the lender) that he could no afford the house he was buying. My question to him, ” if they knew than you also knew so why did you sign the loan papers.”
My intent was not to beat him up because he was not alone in his need to keep up with the proverbial Jones’s. My goodness just 2 1/2 years ago every body and their drunk uncle Harry were purchasing houses and these were not just ordinary houses but houses with upgrades up the kazoo.
It was not enough just to have a home but many of us had to but the house with the over the top upgrades and in the meantime we allowed ourselves to believe that the interest rates and hidden fees that did not really pertain to us but that other household down the street and around the corner.
I do not know if we all swallowed the same lump of coal to believe the letters ARM did not stand for Adjustable Rate Mortgage. In case you are still living in the dark it simply means that your mortgage is without a doubt going to rise but that does not pertain to your pay whether it be salary or hourly based.
That is of course unless you happen to be a CEO of many of the now defunct mortgage companies, insurance, banking and financial institutions that the Bush administration is bailing out at the expense of what remaining taxpayers that manage to remain standing.
In short hit a knee America and Pray fast and hard.

They are pushing for ONE BIG CHANGE — Why aren’t more middle class Americans aware of what McCain wants to do to individual vs. group health insurance taxes & the repercussions???
There is a chance that later this fall your group health insurance could be in jeopardy. Why does that matter??? Because your employer sponsored coverage would probably cost you $12,500++ plus outside of your “employer group” (much more if your over 30 or have asthma, or any other illness). In addition to costs, regular individual insurance claims (like regular doctor visits) are much more likely to be denied than those when you are under group (employer sponsored) health care.
Will you be willing to forward the following to conservatives, liberals, independents - everyone who needs their health
My daughter just had the 1yr. doctor’s visit which reminded me of how last year we were on individual health insurance (insurance not purchased through an employer) paying $650 per month for low level United Health care insurance (not enough coverage) and the insurance company challenged every single check-up visit and charged 30-50% “co-insurance”. When I called & asked why - they laughed (literally) and said because your not in a group anymore lady. This is all after we were lucky enough to pass the physical exam to even qualify. I know that everyone is more amped than ever for this election season and I respect everyone’s right to vote for who they choose and I want to make sure that all of us are aware that there is one big issue that is being overlooked. A snippet below tells a lot more - but if you aren’t I strongly encourage you to watch this issue carefully for your own sake. Trust me - you do not want individual health insurance.
Excerpts from neutral, conservative, liberal and McCain sponsored news sources+:
–According to the latest health insurance report on John McCain, “the McCain proposal, would replace an income tax break for employees who currently receive health insurance from employers with a new refundable tax credit for use in purchasing individual health insurance (not group/employer)
–Last year the average yearly cost of the most popular type of insurance plan offered by employers hit $11,765, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation study. The average person with a family would end up paying $11,765 minus the $5,000 tax credit, or $6,765—about double the $3,226 Kaiser tells us the average employee paid for his or her share of premiums. This would be to pay for individual coverage that is not guaranteed like group (employer provided coverage)
–Tax credit: $2,500 for individuals and $5,000 for families for the purchase of private coverage, McCain’s plan will not add incentives for employers at all, the end result - more people without insurance coverage. “McCain’s plan will encourage a significant number of employers to drop health insurance coverage all together because this would no longer be such a big benefit for their employees.” –said Morgan Moran, a Florida Health Insurance analyst.
–McCain will be glad to help you invest your tax credit in a Health Savings Account —a savings account coupled with an insurance plan favored by the insurance industry. HSA’s have very high deductibles and generally only apply to catastrophic health costs. For normal trips to the doctor, you take your money out of the savings account until there is nothing left—and then you really reduce health care costs by forgoing the trip to the doctor altogether.
–This combination of tax credits and HSAs. is called “McCain access to health insurance”, “consumer-directed health care”, “high-cost health care” or “insurance company-directed health care.” because insurance companies gain greater say in whether or not to grant you coverage or approve your claim. It is promoted as saving money for individuals, for our economy and our society, and available evidence shows that it does nothing to reduce health care costs and may leave millions of people with worse un-guaranteed coverage, more chronic health problems, and higher levels of health cost-driven bankruptcies.

University of Miami Hurricane Democrats/Students FEW IN NUMBERS OR NOT?
The university touted an enrollment of 15,449 for the 2007 school year yet I was shocked and surprised to see today September 24, 2008 just 41 days before the presidential election that there are only 13 registered students on the University of Miami Democrats roster. ‘Canes” say it ain’t so! Where are the ‘Canes’ that are concerned about the future of Global Warning, the Economic Crisis that is affecting not just Florida and those 10,000’s of homeowners facing Foreclosures, as well as the lack of job security and adequate healthcare.
I refused to believe that there are only 13 breathing intelligent human persons on the campus of Miami University that are conscientious in their civic duties to register and declare a party?
I recently met the past president of the UM College Republicans in a chance meeting and while he graduated this past spring in 2007 he was still very much involved with his continued support and motivation of the Republican students still on campus. I can only hope and pray that somewhere on the big beautiful 45-acre campus there are students that are carrying the torch with passion for the Democratic party?
